About the project

The Project “Polish immigrant organizations in Europe” is conducted by the Centre of Migration Research (University of Warsaw). It is funded by the National Science Center of Cracow, Poland as a part of the SONATA BIS funding scheme. Launched in July 2015, the Project is scheduled to continue until July 2018 and was conducted by the Poznań Institute for Western Affairs in 2015-2016. The fieldwork will be conducted in Poland and nine other European countries of Germany, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Holland, Italy and Spain. The selection criteria for choosing the countries were: migrations from Poland, the development of Polish immigrant organizations, integration policies and bilateral relations with Poland.
